REFLECTION OF MAJOR PIECES:

1.

NARRATIVE REFLECTION:

For the personal narrative or single story, I told my single story of what I thought high school should've been. I have to admit this was a hard thing for me to talk about and it was a bit of a struggle. I basically told my experience with school in the traditional and untraditional sense and how it was all very different from what I thought it was going to be. By writing this piece, it helped me understand and come to terms with my experience in high school specifially. It kind of provided a means of not just talk about it but talking through it, what happened, why, and it allowed me to see now, a year later, how I grew from it all.

2.

INQUIRY REFLECTION:

For my inquiry topic, I chose something that I think is very important and is very relevant to today's society. I also chose it because it is something that is important to me. As a girl, body image is hard. It's hard to talk about and it's difficult to not be a hypocrite while writing or advising about it. Whether it be negative or positive body image, I related to every good and bad thing I talked about in that piece. By writing about it, it really made me see the problem with body image I personally have including the problems within our society. It made me realize a lot of personal things that I hadn't realized before. It really opened my eyes to some of the things I do that contribute to my own and other's positive and negative body image.

BLOG REFLECTION:

The blog of this UWRT course was proabably my favorite thing we did and I did. I really liked the topics we wrote about and I liked how I wrote and digitized the pieces. My favorite part of all of the blog posts is digitizing. I just love finding memes or gifs from The Office or New Girl that are funny and can add to my topic. My favorite posts that I wrote were probably the Nacriema post and the two Wild Cards as I could talk about what I wanted that still connected to the class. These blog posts helped me with understanding what we talked about in class further as well as the beginnings of our inquiry and narrative projects.

4.

DAYBOOK REFLECTION:

With our daily daybook writings I found that they helped me, along with blog posts, to further understand and attribute the topic to myself. While some days I wrote a couple sentences and others a whole page, they helped me focus in on a daily basis at the beginning of class when I was thinking about what I was going to eat for lunch or the essay I had just gotten back in my previous class. I also wrote a blog post about using daybooks as one of my wild cards.
